Eddie is the co-founder and CEO of Point. The concept for Point’s Home Equity Investment came to Eddie while he was attempting to refinance his home. Like millions of people, Eddie didn’t have any reportable income at the time - even though his startup had been acquired a few weeks prior - so he didn’t qualify for any conventional mortgage product. Recognizing that many other homeowners must find themselves in similar circumstances, Eddie and co-founder Eoin Matthews began working on Point. Before founding Point, Eddie was the co-founder of TrialPay (acquired by Visa), Yub (acquired by Coupons.com, now Quotient), Metails (acquired by Buy.com, now Rakuten), and TXN (acquired by Envestnet). 

Eddie holds an AB in Computer Science from Harvard University. He lives in Menlo Park with his wife and four sons, proudly supporting the Golden State Warriors.

Eoin is the co-founder and Chief Business Officer at Point. This wasn’t Eoin’s first time founding a company, though. Before founding Point, Eoin co-founded Sendgrid (acquired by Twilio) and Metails (acquired by Buy.com). He was the VP of Business Development at Rakuten, Buy.com, and VigLink. Eoin holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Eoin lives in the Bay Area with his wife and daughter. Prior to becoming a co-founder at Point and a father, Eoin was enthusiastic about logic games and trail running. A carefree traveler, he has required medical treatment in at least five different countries.

Annie is the head of human resources at Point. She oversees the company’s culture, organizational effectiveness, and talent. Annie is committed to creating an energizing work experience and an inclusive and transparent culture where individuals of all levels are encouraged to show up as their best selves. Prior to Point, Annie was the global vice president of human resources for Standard BioTools (formerly Fluidigm Corporation, Nasdaq: FLDM).  During her 15-year tenure, she led human resources during transformative periods of growth and helped shape the company’s culture from an early-stage startup to a successful global, commercial, public company. She began her career as an accountant and was a key member of the IPO team for Intuitive Surgical Inc. (Nasdaq: ISRG). 

Annie earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University, East Bay, with a concentration in accounting and a master’s degree in organizational development from the University of San Francisco. She lives in Portola Valley with her husband, six children, and dog.

Bavyaa is Point’s Head of Engineering. She is responsible for growing and scaling the organization. Bavyaa came to Point from Salesforce, where she most recently served as Senior Director of Engineering, Salesforce Field Service. In her role, she oversaw the full-stack engineering organization, which included multiple teams and product workstreams. Previously, Bavyaa spent time in engineering leadership roles at several enterprise tech companies, including Cisco and VMware. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Madras Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.  

Bavyaa lives in the Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, Laya and Meera, and a golden retriever named Shifu.

Elissa leads the Product and Design teams at Point, building innovative, new ways for consumers to access equity in their current homes. Elissa was one of Point’s earliest hires in 2015 and was here for Point’s very first equity investment. Before joining Point, Elissa was at Zillow, overseeing the product roadmap for Zillow Rental Manager, Zillow’s tools for landlords and property managers. Prior to Zillow, Elissa held various positions at Amazon, the Wall Street Journal, J.P. Morgan Chase, and QuinStreet. Elissa graduated from Harvard with an economics degree and has an MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business. Elissa has always had a deep passion for personal finance. After college, Elissa taught teens the fundamentals of financial literacy in New York City as a director of the non-profit Cents Ability.

In her spare time, Elissa spends time with her family, devotes herself to volunteer work, and plans off-the-beaten-path travel adventures.

Karthik leads operations for Point. He’s accountable for operational performance, delivering an efficient and effective customer experience while managing execution risk. Karthik’s more than 25 years of experience include operational leadership roles at several companies, including Capital One, Tesla, Paypal, and most recently, Doma. Karthik has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. He also holds an MBA from Duke University.  

When Karthik’s not thinking about Point’s customer experience, you can find him spending time with his family in Phoenix, Arizona, planning their next travel adventure, or putting more miles on his motorcycle.

Matt is Point's general counsel, overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters in addition to the operations and finance functions. Point intrigued Matt because of its unique intersection of finance, real estate, mortgage, and technology. He joined in 2016 to help develop and grow products in a highly regulated field. Prior to Point, Matt was Senior Counsel at SolarCity, an Elon Musk-founded company, where he managed an array of consumer finance legal and compliance matters. Matt has worked at a large international law firm as a prosecutor and as a law clerk to a federal judge. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California Law San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law) and a bachelor of arts from UCLA.

During his free time, you’ll find him in Belmont, California, on the sidelines, cheering on one of his four kids in the pool, on the pitch, or on a court.

Shoji is the Head of Marketing and Analytics at Point, leading the Marketing and Data teams. Prior to Point, Shoji was VP of Marketing at Grailed and Sr. Director of Growth Marketing at SeatGeek. Earlier in his career, Shoji worked at Bridgewater Associates and in management consulting at Oliver Wyman. Shoji has an MBA from Wharton and graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program for Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Shoji enjoys playing basketball, (occasionally) running full/half marathons, hiking, and traveling (he’s visited all seven continents). He lives in Southern California with his wife and two young sons.
